The Buckley
What is it about this tie? Even men who typically favor shiny silk neckwear take pause when they catch a glimpse of the Buckley. There's something so stately about it, so absolutely sure of its place in the world — not surprising since its fabric comes from Moon, a family-owned English mill that has been producing cloth since 1837. But even as the Buckley radiates Anglophiliac tradition, its sense of vital mischief is on full display as well. The unapologetic tilt of its bias. Those unruly white whiskers poking up from its weave. The Buckley's label says it's 100 percent wool, but sometimes we swear it must be at least 20 percent Gandalf's beard. Some ties just transcend labels, we suppose. When you're lucky enough to find one that does, what else can you do but buy it?
